So far through mid-2020, we have seen NCT units' comebacks with different concepts. As for NCT 127, they first released NCT #127 NEO ZONE on March 6. To furthermore explain their concept, it has boasting powerful lyrics about being a "hero". The song and MV itself is heavily inspired by Chinese martial arts.
“Kick It” is a high-energy dance track that features inspirational lyrics and remaining true to NCT 127's typical styling, featuring a fluid dichotomy that bounces back and forth between melodic, oftentimes funky, verses and clamorous choral refrains filled with industrial beats, throbbing bass, whistling synths. and chanting shouts.
As everyone may already know this fact, NCT has been experimenting with different genres and concepts since 2016, "NCT U - The 7th Sense (일곱 번째 감각) ", "NCT U - Boss, NCT U - "Without You", NCT DREAM - "Chewing Gum." As for NCT 127, my opinions on their future concepts are that they might actually keep going on this whole "kick it", or "punch" kind of concept because for me, it fits them so well, and you could actually see that they totally own that concept like I felt like none of the groups would do as much as them (btw I'm a multistan myself and wrote all this based on my preferences, u don't actually have to agree with me if u want). As for NCT DREAM, since they had already shown us their cute, bubbly pop concepts, and as they are maturing and becoming adults, I believe that they would keep going with their dark, mature concepts, like "Ridin", "Boom". For WayV, since they just debuted last year with "Moonwalk", their concepts are not that different from NCT 127 from my perspective. This year, they made a comeback with "Turn Back Time". And I have to say that, it's literally a bop.
I agree with you! All of their comebacks sure are bops hehe. NCT 127's agressive-ish powerful concept, as well as NCT Dream's "new"(not that new but) sorta teen/rebellious concept fits them quite well. Though WayV's concepts are pretty similar to NCT 127, there's something different that I can't quite put my finger on.. maybe a bit of playfulness mixed and a more wide-ish concept is what I'm seeing? I'm not completely sure..
Anyway they all own their concepts, especially NCT 127!
